So.. I saw this movie a couple days ago. And I thought the first half of it was amazing. I saw this movie becoming possibly one of the greatest horror movies ever made. But Stephen King has this weird ability to take a masterpiece idea for a story and just mangle it into some worthless piece of garbage. He doesn't explain what's going on. He'll leave his readers / viewers lost in his story. I was lost for the last 25 minutes. I loved the follow up before the main character enters the room though. I loved how they made hell look like Beverly Hills compared to room 1408. It had some really intense and freaky scenes. Every thing about this movie was great except the fact that it left me confused. I hate the feeling of being lost in a movie. It makes it harder to want to pay attention. Stephen King's really good at it. All in all, this movie was amazing except for the face that he leaves me lost for a good 25 minutes. See the movie yourself and I'm sure you'll understand

That's how much I LOVED the first hour and 15 minutes of it. Brilliance.
I loved the idea of not knowing what was behind the door of that room before he actually entered.
It's hard to explain. I did understand what was going on at the end of the movie. But for the 25 minutes before that I was pretty lost.

But I did evemtually figured it that the room's filled with angry spirits...somehow though reminded me of Silent Hill...and to this day I have no idea what's it about............
