It Came Out of the SkyOh, it came out of the sky, landed just a little South of Moline. Jody fell out of his tractor, couldn't b'lieve what he seen. Laid on the ground and shook fearin' for his life. Then he ran all the way to town screamin' it came out of the sky. Well, a crowd gathered round and a scientish said it was marsh gas. Spiro came and made a speed about raising the Mars tax. The Vatican said, woe, the Lord has come, Hollywood rushed out an epic film and Ronnie the Popular said it was a communist plot. Oh, the newspapers came and made Jody a national hero. Walter and Eric said they'd put him on a network TV show. The White House said, put the thing in the Blue Room, the Vatican said, no, it belongs to Rome and Jody said, it's mine and you can have it for seventeen million. Oh, it came out of the sky, landed just a little South of Moline. Jody fell out of his tractor, couldn't b lieve what he seen. Laid on the ground a shakin', fearin' for his life. Oh, then he ran all the way to town screamin' it came out of the sky.

Used to have a double album of their greatest hits once. Back when some of us owned record players, that is. Those songs you mentioned are great ones, too and I like 'em.

I was looking them up on the AOL music store for that one album I used to have. If they don't want too much for it, I thinks I'll get it. 70's huh? Just how old are you? Just kidding. Most men don't like to give out their age. Haha! I get to 50, then I'll lie about mine.

LodiJust about a year ago I set out on the road Seekin´ my fame and fortune Lookin´ for a pot of gold Thing got bad things got worse I guess you will know the tune Oh ! Lord Stuck in Lodi again Rode in on the Greyhound I´ll be walkin´ out if I go I was just passin´ through Must be seven seven months or more Ran out of time and money Looks like they took my friends Oh ! Lord I´m stuck in Lodi again The man from the magazine Said I was on my way Somewhere I lost connections Ran out of songs to play I came into town, a one night stand Looks like my plans fell through Oh ! Lord, Stuck in Lodi again If I only had a dollar For ev´ry song I´ve sung And ev´ry time I had to play While people sat there drunk You know, I´d catch the next train Back to where I live Oh ! Lord, I´m stuck in a Lodi again Oh ! Lord, I´m stuck in a Lodi again

this is an awesome 70's band. You guys most likely wont like em, but I do, reminds me of the days of me and my dad hanging out outside listening to it blasting loud on his fathers concert speakers. Oh yes. Good times. Who'll Stop the Rain?Long as I remember the rain been comin' down, clouds of mystery pourin' confusion on the ground. Good men through the ages tryin' to find the sun. And I wonder, still I wonder who'll stop the rain. I went down Virginia seekin' shelter from the storm, caught up in the fable I watched the tower grow five year plans and new deals wrapped in golden chains. And I wonder, still I wonder who'll stop the rain. Heard the singers playin', how we cheered for more. The crowd had rushed together tryin' to keep warm. Still the rain kept pourin', fallin' on my ears and I wonder, still I wonder who'll stop the rain. my dad loves CCR too. well, my dad loves all these 70's & 80's bands.(i've heard him mentioning bout all those bands before & most of them are listed here. ;D cool!

CCR is awesome. John Fogerty is still doing shows and albums. Some of his recent stuff is really, really good. Revival, his newest release - debuted at #14 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and sold 65,000 copies in its first week. It was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rock Album of 2008. Gunslinger - one of my favorite, if not my favorite one of Fogerty's songs is on the Revival album... Gunslinger
Lookin' out across this town Kinda makes me wonder how All the things that make us great Got left so hard behind
This used to be a peaceful place Decent folks hard workin' ways Now they hide behind locked doors Afraid to speak their minds
I think we need a gunslinger Somebody tough to tame this town I think we need a gunslinger There'll be justice all around
Someone let the fences go Wild eyed bunch moved in you know Shootin' up the streets shoutin' everybody down Dogs all runnin' loose
Wrecked the papers, closed the school Tired old judge got roughed up too No one left to make a stand They whisper, "What's the use?"
I think we need a gunslinger Somebody tough to tame this town I think we need a gunslinger There'll be justice all around
I think we need a gunslinger Somebody tough to tame this town I think we need a gunslinger There'll be justice all around
I think we need a gunslinger Somebody tough to tame this town I think we need a gunslinger There'll be justice all around

When I made this topic and posted all those songs, I put a link to the song. I don't know if you noticed. And I don't know if any of them work, but you can click them and some of them should still play.
John Fogerty is just an all around amazing musician. I can't remember which recent album it was, (After Creedence broke-up of course) but on one of his solo albums, he did the recording for ALL the instruments. Which is just amazing.....

I didn't notice Gunfighter in the post... but I'm getting old so I could have missed it I watched a concert on Directv the other night and it was amazing! I think it was recorded in 2007. He really gives it his all.

I'm shocked. After all these years, I never noticed that I missed the "Revival" In the Creedence Clearwater subject.
