I love my kitty cat and would really kick someone's ass if they hurt her but, my heavens is she really starting to tick me off. This will be her 3rd Christmas with us and she sure loves the Christmas tree. I always put the tree up and decorations around Thanksgiving and then have a month to pick up bulbs every day 'till after Christmas. This cat has all kinds of toy balls. Why can't she stay the hell out of the tree?!! Not to mention she loves laying on the bottom branches and now the whole tree leans to one side. It's one of those fake trees and the branches bend. She's a 15 lb cat. Something about trees that cats love. Some dogs do too. The shiney little ornaments get their attention and then you either are picking up broken bulbs or 1/2 a dozen in the morning. Pets and Christmas trees don't mix...

Got an idea off Marth Stewart show earlier this year and I should've went and got those bundles of green wire from the craft store that people make fake flowers with. Take 3 inches of clipped wire and loop each one thru a bulb and twist it together then wrap the wire around the tree branch. She said you don't have to worry about loosing hooks or hooking the bulbs. They stay on each year and cats have a damn hard time knocking 'em off. You betcha I'll be going down to the craft store before I put those bulbs away and doing what she showed on her show. I'll fix that cat next year, by golly!
