My best friend since 5 years old died in Afghanistan on April 10, 2009. What I'll always remember about him was his maturity and sincere heart. He could have easily been a role model to anyone at the age of 12. He was a straight A student throughout high school and graduated a year early.
He always had a passion for the military and joined the Air Force at 18. The last time I saw him was when he came home to visit for a few weeks. Which was about a year and a half ago. We ran into each other at an Arco and the first thing he did was apologize for leaving me behind. But I told him not to worry about that at all. He's been stationed in Texas and was in Afghanistan when he died. The injuries were non-combat related and is still under further investigation. He was just 20 years old. 2 months younger than I.
I'll always miss him.

Thank you so much, MIB. I attended his funeral yesterday. It really brightened my spirits when I found ou that his mother was looking for me. It makes me feel very connected to his family. The funeral went well. I was glad to see so many people.

I still don't know what to say, I can't even begin to wrap my mind around the fact that my best friend since grade school is no longer with us. Jacob Ramsey I will always miss you and you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
