I was wondering if the members here would tell us why they like scary movies?
I'll go first.
I think that the reason that I like horror films so much is that with all the problems that there are in the world that for 90 minutes at a time I get to sit down, relax , and go into this fantasy world and just get my mind iff of everything.
I know that It doesn't make the problem go away it just make the problem's of life easier to deal with.
That's why I like horror movies. I was just wondering why everyone else likes them.

Escapism also from me Brew... that's why I love all forms of scifi and fantasy movies. I like to see things that can't happen in the real world.
Imagination is wonderful... one of my favorite quotes comes from a Counting Crows song - Mrs. Potter's Lullaby - "If you've never stared off in the distance then your life is just a shame."

When raised by an uncle who has over 100 Horror movies, lets me look at the covers, and tells me all about slashers. I think you know why.

also like to go back and watch some horror films from the 70's and 80's to see random celebritys that r famous today
