If you can do the internet and this forum, you'd have no problem with the 360. The PS3 is more complicated in my opinion. And as far as the games go, you'd be good at Madden pretty quickly after you learned the controls. It's gotten to be an accurate simulation of a football game... and people with good football knowledge like you are usually really good at it.
People can't stand to play me because while they are throwing bombs and doing onside kicks and all sorts of crazy stuff, I kill them with the ground game and clock management. I keep my defense set to a nickel zone with instructions to play the pass. Then I use a defensive end to take out any runners myself. That completely destroys their bomb strategy. But, then when they try to run finally they find that pretty hard since I've been personally playing the run for decades. I get some Qb sacks like that too because I'm always in the backfield.
I never win by much because I don't have to. I love to defer the kick, then stop them from scoring on their first drive... then keeping the ball for the rest of the half ending with a TD... then I get the ball first in the 2nd half and run out most of the 3rd quarter... where if I even get a field goal the game is pretty much over.

The Madden I play is 2002. There aren't too many play strategies, but I like to keep my defense in a 4-3 dime package with a cover 4 in the backfield to prevent the deep passes. The 3 linebackers are in cover mode, and ready to stop a run. It's a killer defensive strategy and it's worked a lot. But I'm sure the newer Madden has even better options and play calling techniques.

I actually played Madden 10 on the Wii and whomped the Chargers like 48-3. And that was only the halftime score and my first ever time playing.

But I'm sure the newer Madden has even better options and play calling techniques. That's similar to what I do with the nickel. And yes the 2010 version is almost completely customizable. You can audible each position to what ever coverage or blitz that you want after you see the lineup. You have to be quick before the snap on defense, but on offense it's easy because you can change routes, blocking schemes and everything right at the line. If you are familiar with the old ones, you will be just as good or better at the new ones. So, now you need to go right out and get a 360 so we can play ;D ;D ;D I say that but I still need to renew my online account for the year... I think it's 43 dollars if you get it through Amazon, and it's a good deal. I just have to wait until after a road trip I'm taking next week to see if I have the money.

Road trip? Where are you going? I've got to get some source of income before I buy the Xbox.
