this is the scariest movie i ever saw, my older brother used to make me watch it all the time when he was babysitting me.(hes 29 now and im 20)he used to laugh that i was so scared. what was up with that crucifiction scene? also i read that the movie caused some heart attacks and it is know a women died while watching it.(heavy bible follower)

Great Movie!! Are any of the other movies in this series any good? I never cared enough to watch the 2nd or 3rd. I just really liked the 1st. Scared the holy piss out of me though. I stopped cussing for a week...  (I was 13) |

I remember this film so much, i was about 7 and i remember my mum and dad saying to me that i have to go to bed early because they wanted to wacth this movie. Well i came down about 20mins later and i got a chair and looked through the glass panal above the door, and let me tell you it scared me so much that i fell off the chair. for about a week after i did not want to go to bed. lol lol lol i am 32 now.

I saw this back when I was 12, just after having read the book. This is one of only a handful of examples where the film is better than the book.

Back in the day,it was banned for most states since it was considered mis-created film.Not likly people talked about it since the day people who were on the set starting to die mysterously during & after it was made.
And when I was younger,I couldn't watch it again until I've become old enough to watch Horror films.
This movie is totally & most wicked film ever.

Did you guys know there is a Prequel to the Exorcist called Dominion? I wonder if its any good or not.
