Maybe because this was a drama I found Adam Sandler's funny scenes funnier than those in his comedies... there seemed to be a stark contrast between the film's darker context and the lighter moments. I'll give it an 8 and a half.

Great film. I didn't find it to be one of his funnier films, though. But this movie proves he can act, and act well. I'll give this one an 8.

It was definitely not a "funny" film. But, I agree, he proved in this one that he can actually do some acting when he tries. The few funny moments just seemed funnier contrasted with the tone of the movie.
