What a shiite season this has been for me... The Dolphins are terrible, the Panthers are worse than that. The Jets are good and the Patriots are great. I've done horribly on my fantasy football and it looks like I'll lose the competition here. No standout running backs this year and nobody but Brady is having a great QB season... no offense to those who think Vick is the MVP, but throwing for 200 yards and running for 100 in a couple of games doesn't a hall of famer make. I'd rather one of my ass hairs win the MVP besides Brady, but facts are facts. Watching the college games was no better for me, although it was great to see Nick Saban lose, other than that... yuck. The highlights of this year include coaches from the Jets tripping players, James Harrison crying about getting caught for attempted homicide and Brett Favre's Wranglers in a position I never wanted to see them in... OFF! I don't get it Brett... she looks like your wife... except skankierish Now, the Patriots will probably win the Super Bowl to top off the nightmare. But, too distract you from the horror and focus the attention on somebody else's misery... I leave you with the best and worst of the funny Favre web finds of 2010 - The last one is my latest photoshop creation.

Haha. I loved the "Throwin picks and textin chicks" picture and "Let me play" were probably my two favorites.
I think I hate the Patriots just as much as you do, MIB. They are the last team in the NFL that I want to see win the Super Bowl. I really don't like anything about that team. My early prediction this year was the Jets and Eagles in the Super Bowl. I'll stand by that, but the Jets have to take out some very, very tough competition to even come close to the Super Bowl. They have the Colts to beat, if they beat the Colts, they'll have the Pats to beat..
As for the Broncos... This is actually the worst season they've ever had. They've never lost 12 games in one season. Sure, the #2 draft pick will be nice, but what is it that's going to get us out of this giant pit of failure? Bill Parcells or Bill Cowher, maybe? I can hope.
We do have a lot to look forward to, with the way Tebow is playing.

I don't think you want Parcells, in my opinion he's just not into it any more. I still say Cowher is the Panthers choice. He's always lived here and his daughter goes to college at the school where I go see the Carolina training camp. I'm not as sure about it as I once was. They are actually talking about him being in Miami now... which I just don't see happening. I'm watching the Orange Bowl right now and they showed John Elway who said he's there recruiting Jim Harbaugh to be the next Broncos coach. I've always liked Jim and wouldn't mind him in Miami either... as he and the owner are Michigan alum and good friends... what a bunch of drama huh? This is just my opinion (which has been a game or so off from yours this year ), but I don't think there is a team in the AFC that has a shot at the Patriots except Indy. The team can't do it, but Manning can beat them single handed if he has one of "those" games. The Jets don't have a chance in NE. Brady and Bill will totally dismantle them again. On top of that after this horrible year I don't think I could stomach the Jets in the SB. I think you should make us a Playoff predictions thread, so we can do a bracket type thing for fun.

That's a good idea. I'll make that right meow!
Elway is now 2nd in command, right under Broncos owner, Pat Bowlen. It's a great feeling. You've got nowhere to go but up, and now we have John Elway calling some shots. I know we haven't seen much of what he can do in management, but he is a very intelligent man, and I think we'll only benefit from him.

Well, I think it's a great thing for Denver. Elway will be good for fan satisfaction and he doesn't want anything but the best for his team. Marino was in similar position for a week or so, then they made him mad and he quit.

Is it just me, or does Dan Marino get mad pretty easily?

I think he stays hot when it involves football. He and Michael Jordan remind me of each other in that way. It seems to be a competitive thing... I've never heard anything but good things about his attitude away from football. Jordan seems to stay like that all the time though. The thing with the team job, I forgot exactly what happened, but I remember everyone sided with Dan on the ordeal. I was ticked that they didn't do everything they could to keep him around. I've seen many games where Dan was so mad that I would wonder if he was going to catch a WR on fire with his eyes. And some times I was wishing that he would.

I remember those games. I would watch him yell at receivers from time to time as a kid.

The funniest time I remember him getting mad was against the Steelers. He was torching them and Greg Lloyd tried to take him out. Llyod hit him late, picking him up off the ground and slamming himself on top of Dan... When they showed the slowmo replay closeup of them both on the ground... Dan had Lloyd by the throat and was cursing him and staring at him with those eyes. I kept thinking, dude Lloyd is one man you don't want to @$#% with ;D
If I remember correctly Lloyd was just laughing at him.
On the subject of the receivers that Dan had, to back up my claims that he never had anybody... this season as bad as Miami's offense was, ranking near last in most categories still, Marshall and Bess set the all time receiving record as a Dolphin duo.

Cursing... Greg Lloyd...? That takes a bit of courage. ;D I'd like to find a video of that. With Marshall and Bess breaking the duo record, it only furhter solidifies my claim that Dan is one of the best, if not the best, quarterback of all time.
