I guess I'll just never understand how so many people can all (at least pretend to) believe exactly the same thing based on the political party they align themselves with. Like just because I'm not for abortion it means I'm supposed to believe that we shouldn't pollute the earth... I will never get that.
I'm like you though as I've said before - this last time I felt the Republicans were the lesser of two evils and I voted for McCain. The Democrats are really costing this country a lot of National security right now.
The bad thing is that if the Republicans had their way I'd be out on the street as they want to do away with all the health care and social security... which keeps me alive and in a house. That shows you how much I hate the current Democrats that I still voted for the Republicans. ;D

I was unable to vote last year (would've been McCain, though I preferred Romney, to be honest). I was helping Stacey's Mom move... While Stacey voted Obama. Abortion is a touchy issue. It's hard to be pro-abortion, without a doubt. But the aborted fetus studied has saved lives. Who knows what kind of cures it may or may not lead to. I'm just glad I don't have to make the decision. I saw a bumper car on a sticker this morning that said, "I'll keep my guns, freedom & money... You can keep the 'change'." Made my day.

I've seen that saying, it's funny.
I always say that I'm pro choice... I believe every child should have the choice to live. ;D And there are plenty enough people and children dying by non murderous causes that can be, and are, studied much more efficiently for health purposes. As far as stem cell research (which is done in test tubes not from not from fertilized eggs and is IMO nothing like an abortion) and all that I'm definitely for it.
I've heard every argument the pro abortion people have ever made and they have never come up with anything that even comes close to convincing me that there should ever be a reason to murder a child. I think that's where the line is... either you believe a child is a human life at conception or you don't... And I do.
Lol... I'm breaking one of my own rules which is to never get into politics on these forums... any farther than saying who I vote for.

Yeah, I try to stay as far away from politics as possible. Kinda weird how it ended up in The Thing From Another World rate topic.

Most of the time it seems like a thing from another world to me.
