Barkley just plain cracks me up. The one play I always remember when I think of Sir Charles is a pass he made to a rookie (I can't remember who). He had thrown him a couple of passes that the rookie wasn't ready for and of course caused turnovers. The next time Barkley inbounded the ball he threw it as hard as he could hitting the rookie in the head and knocking him out of bounds. After the game when they asked him about it he said something like "Next time he'll be ready for it." Haha. Holy crap. I don't remember anything like that. Was it anything like the Deadly Friend gif I posted before?

Remind me on that one...
It was a big guy and it was while he was in Phoenix... it might have been Oliver Miller.

I'm sure next time, the lady in the gif will be ready for it. 36-12 in the first quarter... Just... WOW!!! The Nuggets are playing amazing basketball, lately. But I'm terrified of their upcoming schedule. Take the top ten teams in the league, and they're playing them, ALL on the road. Oy.....

Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hate the Lakers. Hey, MIB, who do you feel is a better basketball player right now, Kobe or LeBron? The Spurs overlooked the Lakers and it looks like the Heat are overlooking everybody. I also don't understand why the Nuggets ONLY beat the good teams. They hold wins over the Magic, Mavericks, Lakers, Thunder, Jazz, Hornets, Blazers, Suns, Grizzlies, Heat, Celtics, Bulls, Hawks and Knicks, but can't seem to beat the Clippers, 76ers and so on... Maybe I shouldn't be so worried about their upcoming schedule, after all?

I don't get too uptight about the NBA like I do about the Dolphins and that's a good thing... it's easier to enjoy at times. But my team has a few championships lately so I guess it's not as urgent for me because of that... like I said though a Spurs title this year would be great because there are some really elite teams.
I don't particularly like Kobe as a person anymore than you do but there is absolutely no comparison between him and Lebron to me. On the court Kobe is the closest thing to Jordan there is. He has that killer mentality to go with his talent. Lebron is just a tool with zillion dollar skills. That being said I still love to see Kobe lose.
I'd take Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin or Kevin Love in that order if I was building a team... over James.
On another note, have you ever seen Chris Bosh do anything? I must have seen him play 200 games and I've never seen him do anything amazing. I watched all the Olympic games and I've seen him play forever in the ACC... over-hyped is the one word I'd use for him. Not bad... just not as good as advertised.

I've always felt LeBron and Kobe were pretty even, but with LeBron leaving Cleveland and how they're performing now, I feel it shows that LeBron is better. The Cavaliers were the #1 seed by far, year after year, making the Eastern Finals year after year, but the year LeBron leaves, they're considered to be one of the worst NBA teams, not just this year, but of all time?? Bosh is consistently decent. I've never seen him put up numbers like James or Wade since the big 3 were formed, though. It's always been all LeBron or all Dwyane.

Disclaimer: I'm not knocking your opinion... you can't be wrong with an opinion... I'm just pleading my own case ;D The reason I even mention this is because most of my friends hate to discuss or debate anything with me because they think I think about it too much and I piss them off... I just like to debate and discuss stuff... I don't have much emotion involved in it... I just enjoy it.... whew...
Shaq and Big Z left Cleveland too and Antwan Jamison has been hurt all year... the core of that team (besides James) has been gutted... not to mention that Miami will have to win every one of their remaining games to have the record Cleveland had last season... that's one of my big reasons.
Reason number two is that I don't think the Lakers have any more than or even as much talent as last year's Cavaliers. I'll take Shaq, Jamison, Mo Williams and Big Z over that no talent LA team any day. Gasol is very good but the rest are below average to me. D. Fisher is a good role player but not without Bryant.
My biggest reason is that I have no doubt that Dwayne Wade is also better all around than James. He won an NBA title with way less talent than Cleveland had for the past several seasons. He basically had one full year with the same quality of Shaq and he won a championship. Add shaq to Wade = Win... add King to Wade = who knows? Wade should have gone to the Bulls with Rose.
Lebron just doesn't have the mentality to do it... yet. He may develop that later when he gets mad enough but he just doesn't have it now. He gets rattled nearly every time an important game is on the line.
I had this same conversation with my Brother-in-law and he pretty much disagreed with all of it... but I don't think he keeps up with it all like we do so that doesn't count ;D
