Sweet pictures! Did you take the Tom Petty guitar home with you? And that is an AWESOME shot of the bar. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... It's funny with the bar picture. I hurried around before our food came and got all the pictures I could of the memorabillia without bothering other diners. Then I kept gazing at the lighted bar until I got a few shots of it. That was really the only picture where I went into artistic photo mode. The rest were just snapshots. The funny thing is that I don't even drink but it turned out to (probably) be the best picture of the whole trip. Here is one that I made into a painting in PS... you have to look at it full size to really tell, but I love it.

Nice! Now it looks like an underwater bar.

It's what the bar looks like after you've been to the bar a couple times ;D This is my favorite picture I've taken of my niece Sadie

Haha. That sounds about right. WOW! Looks like she's posing for a refreshing water beverage company I really like that one.

One of the very few times I've ever caught her still enough to get a decent shot... and I was lucky that it happened in front of a waterfall. These are not intended to be art quality or anything... but I thought they are pretty cool. It's of a fire a couple months back that took out hundreds of acres of forest. It was in the State Park where they filmed Last of the Mohicans. David and I caught it coming back from seeing a movie. It was about 3 am and I just saw it out of the corner of my eye. I tried to get a few pix with my phone but it was so dark it wasn't even happening... so I took David home to bed and got my camera. I got a few shots with the fire visible behind the church that's a half mile from our house. It looks like it was right behind the church but it was many miles away on the mountain... it was just a huge fire. The daylight shots are a few days later as it was almost out.

At first glance, I thought you caught a UFO on camera!!
There was a fire that burned, I think, 50,000 acres and lasted for weeks. It looked just like your pictures, but was very spread out.
Annndd.. Another time, about 6 years ago, a fire came so close that we almost had to evacuate. The entire sky was bright orange all around us, and it was snowing ash.

Yeah, I watch those Cali fires on the news sometimes... they seem pretty scary. It doesn't get dry enough around here for many houses to be endangered... not that there are many anyway. This fire was relatively harmless and probably did the forest more good than bad as they do controlled burns every year.
It had been pretty dry at that time and if there hadn't been an entire lake between us and the flames I would have been nervous.

They do get wicked. There's a field directly across the street from my house (you can see the picture of the field as we're driving off in the Road Trip topic) that has caught fire more than once.
