We took my son David to his first Panthers game last weekend. It was his big Christmas present this year. They lost... but he absolutely loved it. I've never seen something hold his attention that long. He was into the whole game. I didn't take as many pictures this time - as we were as far from the action as I've ever been, plus it was pretty cold that high up in the stands. BUT... the pictures of David are priceless! That's my sister Carole with David, they got their faces painted... I thought it looked pretty cool. I've got a few good pictures from the game I'll post later

Everytime I've gone to a game with my Dad we were almost at the very top of the building. Even that high up you can still see the action pretty well. Pictures are a lot tougher to take, though. I'm glad he had a blast. Reminds me of the first Denver game I went to. We played the L.A. Rams in 1994. Got to see Shannon Sharpe, Steve Atwater, Tyrone Braxton, John Elway and more! I had a lot of fun that day. Denver lost, though, but out of the 4 Denver games I've been to, that is the only one they lost. ;D Did he bug you to take him to the front row before the game? I know I would have bugged my Dad to do it.

He might have but if you check the last picture above... he's standing in the front row right at the goal posts where the Panthers players are warming up. My sister asked an usher if he could go have a look and she took him down. I of course sneaked up on him for a picture. Plus - David is a veteran of the training camps now and he's used to being right there with the players... and I tried to warn him beforehand that we'd be A LOT farther away at the game He was pretty much mesmerized with the whole event... he was loving the pyro and stuff for the introductions.

Haha. You had to sneak up on him to take the picture. Does he hate being photographed? That pyro intro must have been sweet for him. I'm sure he got a feel of how intense the game of football really is.

No, he's a ham and he does all these ridiculous poses and I can't get a good picture... plus I wanted one of him from behind with the goalposts... and if he knew I was there he'd have been clowning. He saw pictures I took of the night game and all the pyro for the entrance. He was talking about it all the way to the game... and he was not disappointed.

That's hilarious. I've never seen my team come out to pyro because I've only made the away games. Not only does Denver NOT have pyro, but when they're playing San Diego and the announcer introduces Denver, he has this irritated tone about him. "Here come........... the donkeys"

I love it when announcers do that... though when it's your team it's not quite as funny. The Bobcats announcer does that with ever single mention of anything having to do with the opponent... and all throughout the game. It gets us quite cracked up. Even when they score and he has to say the players name he says it all annoyed and mumbled. ;D Contrasted, of course, with loud excitement when he says a Charlotte player's name.
And to give you an idea about David and his picture antics - Yesterday I was sitting here at the computer and I see him go by out of the corner of my eye in the living room. I look and he's got his helmet and jersey on and he's in some kind of strange Heisman stance. I asked him what he was doing and he said "I'm modeling for pictures." ;D ;D ;D ;D

I remember watching the much anticipated game between the Cavliers and Heat in Cleveland last year. They annoucned LeBron James and he announced it in the same tone you say the Bobcats announcer does it. I wonder how weird that was for the fans. Haha. Haha. I'd have been so embarrassed if my Dad caught me doing that while I was alone. My Mom has some old photos of me, one in my Broncos uniform when I was about 5 or so.

I'm showing this to David right now... From David: COOL, a Bronco ball too... I like it. Here's David's moment:

That is super cool. I'm sure he likes having a wicked awesome animal for a team, too. I thought I asked this, but I'm not too sure: Do you plan on trying to take David to more Panther games in the future?
