Been a Mitt Romney supporter for quite some time. I agree with him on most of the major issues regarding the nation and am absolutely awe-inspired by Paul Ryan's tax plan.
I just don't understand why Barack Obama is even close to him in the polls. Mitt should win by a landslide, in my opinion. Barack has done nothing to ensure re-election.

I'm not voting... I absolutely HATE both parties now. Until we get rid of the 2 party system our government will remain totally corrupt and completely broken... it just WILL NOT work at all. The list I find wrong with both candidates (all candidates actually) is too long to put here but I'll give a few high low-lights: The Democrats - have close to no morals; they don't support our troops or military strength; they want to make friends with terrorists whose only purpose in life is to kill us; they give the choice of life to women not their babies. Plus... they do absolutely nothing they say they are going to do. The Republicans - don't have much more morals than their opponents, they don't want the rich to pay enough taxes to make up for what they manipulate and suck out of the system; they believe only these rich people deserve health care; they unabashedly destroy our environment. Plus... they do absolutely nothing they say they are going to do. Soooo... my sad conclusion is that I will not vote for a president this time. I will go vote for some local and state leaders... especially [[Heath Shuler]] our congressman who personally helped me get my disability. But I cannot vote for a president. People may ask me... don't you think you'd at least be better off with one or another? No, I do not... If the Republicans had their way I would have lost my house and have no way to support my family... nor would I even have a National park to set up tent in. I would have no health insurance and be in a wheel chair. And I am certainly not "better off" with this Democrat in power. Gas is so high I can't even get to town, our over seas military strength has allowed some of the most dangerous men/countries in the world to have and point nuclear weapons at us. And health care is so screwed up that I have to change medicines so often that me and my doctor both agree that it will most likely be what kills me. It has been like this since I can remember and it consistently gets worse. Nothing EVER gets done and 100 percent of their energy goes to blaming each other and scheming to make more money/power for themselves. Sorry for the rant, but it makes me feel so desperately sad, mad and helpless, especially when I think of what great men and women have done for this country... men like my Grandfather who walked across Europe in the snow and rain during WWII with his rifle for his friend and his helmet for his soup bowl. For too long I have had to choose... vote for the lesser of two evils. Well, I've finally figured out that it's not really a choice... what we are faced with is the evil of two lessers. This is not America This is America! My Grandfather: J.A. Williams WWII Veteran - 3 Bronze Stars

No offense intended to anyone who plans to vote... I'm just fed up myself.
Jason... if somebody held a gun to my head and made me vote, I'd most likely vote for Romney.

Not offended at all. I don't care what side anyone supports as long as they support what they believe is best for our country. That's how politics should be. Not a cut throat topic where everyone tries to kill the other side.

I'm just having a hard time finding anything that will be good for our country in this election I just wish there was a way to do away with the focus on competition and put people in office that would work together. I just don't see it ever happening with these parties. I actually thought Obama meant well... and what's left of his health care plan after the Reps shredded it has helped me a bit personally. I didn't vote for him but I did want him to succeed. There was never much of a chance for that in this system... and we've seen what happened now - the regular people are crippled economically. Oil/gas prices is the driving force behind our politics and government... We have had the technology to build electric cars since the seventies. We've just put the first driverless cars on the road. We have car sized landers on Mars that are remote driven from Earth and run on solar power. Greed and corruption enabled by the two party system are why we are slaves to fossil fuels and 40 plus years behind current tech in public transportation. There is no supply and demand and there never has been... it's greed and corruption and these people WILL allow us to use the last drop of crude before they will allow the use of any alternative method... and that will be a disaster. I'd start a revolution myself... but I don't have the energy and they'd kill me off pretty quick ;D

Your last line reminds me of JFK. Completely different president who went about leading our country in a way its never been lead, then he gets killed off.
Side note, have you seen that movie.. JFK? It took me years to finally watch it, but I bought it and gave it a go a couple weeks ago and was VERY impressed with it.

I did watch that. I thought it was an awesome movie! I have no idea how much is fact, but as a movie it was terrific! Carole (my sister) and me were going to do a whole lot of JFK conspiracy stuff for The Black Hole (she's a history major). But that was about the time she lost access to the internet and she and everybody but me and you left the Hole... lol... lol hole... Changing the subject a bit, but did you see the VP debate? I'm telling you Biden scares me more than Obama does... if he doesn't shut up he alone is going to make me go vote for Romney. And he's starting to look like Beavis more each day.

I only saw parts of it. I had work and I'm getting to see what I can. I've heard that Biden tried being the aggressor, but he only came off as a pompous ass. Pointing fingers directly at Ryan, interrupting him and so on. I'm all for aggression, but do it professionally.

Obama I just don't agree with usually... but I think I'd get along with him well as a person. Biden... I just don't like.
I'm leaning more on changing my mind and voting for Romney... and it's for one reason only:
I feel that the crisis with Iran will come to a head during the term of the next president. The maniac in charge of that place is NOT like Saddam! He WILL push the button and he's not afraid to die. His goal in life is to meet his end by bringing about Armageddon - this is his sole intention in life. Don't believe it? Look it up, he has said it, he has written it and he means it.
So... I think that the single most important stretch of decisions ever to be made by a president may come about in the next 4 years. I just don't want a democrat dealing with all that. They tend to try to do the right thing when shoved in a corner... but it WILL be too late at that point. We may have to wipe Iran from the face of the planet... and I'd rather have the party that is focused on the military in charge.

The perfect president for that situation, in my opinion, is Reagan. I loved his stance on a lot of things, and his toughness in war is what we need at the moment. Something a democrat no longer has. If it were in Reagan's time this situation would never got anywhere close to what it is today. He would have seen it coming and and cut it off.
