I didn't have much hope for the Miami offense... but I'm shocked at the defense. There is not a more talented group than them aside from maybe your Broncos J. The D-line alone should be wrecking shit. But you add in Grimes and company, they have no business getting their ass handed to them. That screams coaching and schemes to me. I love Philbin as a person... but he is just not a head coach. And Bill Lazor as an OC... maybe MAYBE in high school... just not our high school.

The good thing is the setup should be much more favorable to a coach this time around as we have finally rebuilt from the disaster Sabin left us in. The Defense with Suh and a super talented wr core and tons of young talent elsewhere... I'm hoping we get a top candidate this time around instead of leftovers. There are teams with half the talent (Carolina for one) are kicking butt. All the Fins need is leadership and I hate to say it but maybe a quarterback... I thought Ryan Tannehill might be the one but I'm 50/50 on him right now. I hate seeing a wideout that is almost a clone of Odell Beckham (Jarvis Landry - ODB's LSU team mate and best buddy) wasted.

And I agree with your assessment: 8-8 was about where I put them. I don't see that happening now unless a coaching change is made.



I'm upbeat though... HOW BOUT THEM TIGERS!!!!!!!!!! Clemson took out 8th ranked Notre Dame tonight and should be in the top ten now!!!!!

And there goes Joe Philbin. If only Joe Cowher or Jon Gruden were interested in coachin again, Miami would actually be a force.
