It won't overshadow the original. I guarantee it. If anything I would think that it would make Halloween look better. Haha.

Very true. But the original rocked the genre of horror to it's foundation. It evolved slasher films. I don't see it overshadowing the original. Even for future generations..

halloween 1 is my fave by far as it is a true masterpiece-i loved halloween 2 as well because for a "sequel" i believe this is a wonderful continuation to the first one and very well made for that matter--halloween 3 doesn't compare-4 and 5 are pretty good with the jamie storyline added to it-6 i didn't really care for at all but i love H20 and resurrection--for me 1, 2, H20 and resurrection are the best ones for the storyline of laurie strode--halloween will always be one of my fave horror films to this day:)

I pretty much agree with everything. The only thing that really bugged me most about the series was Halloween: Resurrection. I didn't like ANY of the characters or the way the story went. I also hated that Michael was defeated by Busta Rhymes via. gathered information from Bruce Lee videos. LAAAAAME

Gotta go with the original. The new H2 was awful.

The 2007 one was cool because you got to see more of Myer's kid life which was a real unique aspect. With H2 it was really bad because it was too dark to see anything, it was unoriginal, and there wasnt enough kills.
