Spoilers: None 30 Days of Night can be described in so many words. But I'll choose one.... Brilliance. This movie had everything I could ever hope for in a horror movie and 10 times more. The story, in a nutshell, is about an Alaskan town that takes place during the time of year when the sun goes down for 30 days. It soon becomes invaded by what seems to be a gang of vampires. The horror and suspense enters the film quickly. Not like most where the action takes place when the movie is more than half way through. The effects are amazing. The way the movie makes you feel leaves me speechless. It effortlessly puts you in the characters positions and makes you, the audience, seem helpless to the massacre that's taking over the town. I easily became lost in the story. There's very little sympathy with no goofy, out of context emotional moments and a very serious plot. It's the ultimate "Bad Ass" horror movie. No corny moments. No stupid one liners. No cocky teenagers. No sex and drugs. Just an astonishing horror movie jam packed with terror, helplessness, and 113 minutes of gruesome greatness. I love it. I never thought I'd find a movie that makes me feel the way I feel about 30 Days of Night. It has become one of my top favorite films. You can bet your ass I'll be getting me a copy of the novel. If you're sick of your typical new age horror flick you have GOT to see 30 Days of Night. Rating 10/10

Two cents?
I'm sure you'll like this one. It's nothing like any vampire film.

My hubby and I watched this movie the other night. Not bad. I'd give it about 4 stars.
