I watched this movie the other night on the Sci-Fi channel about a bunch of mad Raven birds terrorizing this small town. Like the Birds from Alfred Hitchcock. These ravens would group up by the hundreds and attack the people and animals, eating their flesh and killing 'em. Towards the end, the few towns people left, find out that a farmer who had some cattle became sick with MAD COW and died and the ravens had feasted on the cattle's flesh making them mad. After the disease ran it's course, the birds started dying except for a few who made their way to the Sheriff's house. It was different but, kinda reminded me of the old' movie, The Birds.
