I hated Army of Darkness when I first saw it. Well, I didn't hate it. I just didn't think it held candle to the other two. Then I rewatched it and now I can't decide what I like better, 2nd or 3rd. #1 will always be my favorite.

OK. I vote EDII. Why? Cause its got more balls than the others. ED was a banned 'video nasty' cause of the tree rape scene and Ash, the character is a complete idiot in it! Now, look at EDII, its a remake of part one. The storyline is the same, sam raimi just revised the script and made ash a 'gutsier' person and removed the rape scene. The fx in ED were good for stop motion photography but EDII up'd the tempo and made ED how it should be.
Army of darkness, although funny, wasnt any good at all.

Personally.. I think Evil Dead II wasn't a remake.. In the beginning of the film it shows the horror and havoc that was caused in the first. Evil Dead II takes place right after the last scene in part 1.
