Excellent, sick-and-twisted camp classic has VanHentenryck checking into a sleazy 42nd Street motel with a wicker basket that contains his misshapen and thoroughly homicidal Siamese twin brother, Belial, who was medically separated from his side against his will. The two brothers have a close relationship and naturally even share a psychic link. VanHentenryck rescues Belial from the garbage and runs off with him. But when VanHentenryck falls in love, Belial goes on a rampage.
The film features stop-motion animation, unintentional laughs, bad acting, plenty of gore and creative death scenes. In short, it's a near masterpiece. It was a big debut for Henenlotter who would crank out sequels to this, plus the splendid "Frankenhooker," among other films. Henenlotter's career was marked by campy, sex-and-violence filled cult movies. He was a kind of heterosexual John Waters.

Love the whole trilogy, can't pick a favorite for the life of me . Yeah they're sick, but they're surprisingly endearing; just a cool, brilliant series with fucked-up yet cool characters and hilarious yet solemn action

We watched this film one year at my annual Halloween party. I put it up on the wall on my projector and we had about 15 people packed in to watch it. Only a couple people liked it I think, but everyone had several good laughs at it. I enjoyed the experience, which is the whole point I guess, but I'd never watch it again.
