I love Halloween and horror movies. I took care of this lady's daughter this Summer while my husband was in the hospital in Seattle. It was the worse 1 1/2 months ever! I'm not knocking the Jewish religion but, this woman about drove me nuts. She had the nerve to chastize or put me down or make me feel like I was Satan's follower or something cuz I told her I celebrate Halloween and I love to watch horror movies. When she started on Christmas, that was all it took. It might be what people call a pagen holiday but, damn, let some other folks enjoy it somewhat. Kids love to dress up and get candy. I felt like my enjoyment of Halloween was over but, I realized can't make everyone happy, right? I'll celebrate it with my friends here and there. I think when a caregiver is doing care for someone, they shouldn't put down the caregiver for what he/she likes in life. Please say someone here agrees with me. It would make my day a whole lot better.  |

I totally agree with ya there Jas, there is nothing wrong in celebrating certain holidays, not that I see it wrong...though I believe what the Bible says about worshipping worldly customs...still gotta enjoy the fun times we have with friends and family....celebrating certain holidays does not make one person a bad person...its just a word, nothing more. Jasette, do not let anybody or anything let you down just cause they think its bad, okie?  Enjoy your halloween, I sure am. |

That's ridiculous. People like that really need a new outlook. God wants loving people who have faith in him. Not religious nuts. To put you down for celebrating Christmas and Halloween. Maybe you should've snapped and told her Hanukkah was Satan's holiday. |

I wanted to soooo bad but I was on job duty. I needed that 6 1/2 hrs of taking care of her daughter on my paycheck. I haven't talked to her since. The woman's got her own shit load of problems. She's a religious woman but, can swear so bad that Satan himself would blush.lol  |
