The 80s and 70s are easily the two best decades in horror. I went with the 1970s, simply because horror films in the 70s were taken far more seriously than the cheesy 80s flicks.... But those were extremely enjoyable, too.

When you're as big of horror fans as we are, you've got to throw in the humor somewhere in the genre.

I voted for the 80's. But, you know what, some of the more recent horror flicks aren't half bad. The special effects are catching up with the imagination and some of those that were cheesy now can actually be scary because they look real. But I'm like you guys... the cheese is pretty cool.

My favorite piece of cheddar in horror cinema would probably have to go to Jack Frost. One of my favorite horror flicks.

I would definitely have to go with the 70s, but I actually think some of the most creative horror flicks were earlier in cinematic history, before they had a lot of the advancements they have now, or even in the 70s. The earlier Dracula movies and things of that nature are really great to watch. They aren't so scary, but they're suspenseful. They also have a lot of horror elements that influenced all the horror films that came after them. So, in that sense, I'd say around the 40s.

You make a good point, there. It's almost like The Beatles in music. They influenced many of my favorite bands, but they took what The Beatles had and made it better.
