Freddy out matched him in hand to hand combat in the fire house and on the dock Freddy threw 15 rod threw him and bashed him with a swingning metal thing He hit him with those canisters that were filled with gas And he shoved his razors right threw his fuckin head How in teh world did Jason do anything worth while? nothing that Freddy did hardly even fazed Jason. He stood there and let him do what he wanted. then when the time came he pummeled him |

Whatever! Freddy did have a high body count but, I still don't think he's all that. He keeps coming back and so does good ole' Jason. what is there like 25 up there? Jason had at least 6 times more than that. Wahoo!! |

Yes, Jason had a high one, too. The only reason why I said that was in Freddy's Dead, it's mentioned that there's no teenagers left in Springwood or whereever the hell it was. In pt. 3 a undisclosed amount of teens that were dead, too. Jason still rules!!  |

As far as Freddy vs Jason goes, they were both even in my book. Freddy took the psychological approach and Jason took the brute force approach, and they both bested each other in both the real and dream worlds many times over. Neither is dead, as in the end Jason is carrying Freddy's head, which comes to life and winks, signaling that Jason is now in dreamland. The original ending had Freddy torturing Jason in dreamland.
As far as who is actually better, clearly, Freddy takes the award here. The long term psychological effects of his presence coupled with the fact that he can inhabit both the real and dream world make him the ultimate adversary.
