There will be a next one, but it wil probably be a dozen years in the making ;D
New Line is probably concerned that since the first one did moderately well, do they have a second, because one of them ultimately will win even if it is not by killing the other.
It might be nice to start the next film with them fighting, but have them veer off in their own direction after whatever victims and end the movie apart, with the victims supposedly winning by killing them, but as always they are not dead. Then, a final Nightmare and a final Friday the 13th flick to end it all on the right note.

Irs the style they kill them don't you think? Jason killed, but freddy scared, tortured and mutated. They both have their positves and negitives, its like comparing alein and predator, x-box and PS  |

Jason won more than Freddy did because he decapitated him, but they are both still alive, I hope that a F vs. J 2 comes out soon!!!!
