Rate: 9/10
I enjoyed this film i enjoyed how it was all set out and how they were honest with the actions of normal everyday people when aliens from a different world came to the earth. I also liked the modern day effects that made this movie excellent although the movie sometimes got a bit boring epecially the scene were they were in the basement hiding from the aliens for about 30 minutes of the movie that part was the only part i would say was a failure for this movie.

Dakota was wonderful in it and Tom was great. I don't know what it is but some of Tom movies he has did throughout the years seems so intricate and at times just too much for me. I heard he likes to challenge himself though. I prefer his older movies more like Top Gun and Cocktail. This movie is an exception when it comes to some of the others he's done. I'll give it a nine.

I gave it a 6... it wasn't as bad as the critics made it out to be and I really enjoyed all the special effects. The acting was pretty good, but as a remake the story was still too predictable.
