It was well acted, but I didn't see it for the first time until just recently... so it just didn't strike me as scary as advertised. I didn't care for the ending much either. I'll have to say 7 for me.

The most terrifying film in cinematic history, by far, for me. No horror film has ever truly terrified me. But this one did it, easily. A great story and utterly brilliant. An excellent horror film. Have to give it a 10.

If I'd seen it as a kid, I'm sure it would have scared me a lot more. But, going on 40 it had less of an effect. That's what I get for waiting so long.

You were only about a year old when it came out, right? Haha. When did you see it for the first time? I was 13.

I saw it a few months ago remember? You were surprised I'd never watched it so I gave it a try. Yeah, I guess I was one when it came out. It probably wouldn't have bothered me much at that age But my Mom would have left the country ;D And I'm sure it would have scared me at 13.

Yeah, it's all coming back to me, now. I don't remember you ever telling me you had seen it, though. I was 13, and bragging about not being scared by any horror flick. My Dad had always told me of the Exorcist, I told him to bring it on. We rented it on VHS, and I slept with the bright bedroom light on for more than a month straight.

I saw an episode of Tales from the Crypt once that made me creeped out like that for a while. I think I was 17 or 18. It was about this guy that was dead but kept denying it, until finally he sneezed his own nose off. It didn't scare me real bad right when I saw it, but I couldn't get that image out of my head for a long time.

I think I remember that one. Tales From the Crypt was awesome. I loved that show when I was a kid, but was never too creeped out by it. One of my favorite episodes was "And All Through the House". It was originally done in the Tales From the Crypt movie that came out in 1972, I'm pretty sure was the year. Very well done and very creepy.
I found it on youtube, but there is no part 1 to the videos. They only have the last half of the episode because of copyright issues. What a crock! It's a good one, though. I don't know if you remember that one.
