in the 1st movie he supposedly drown. how is it he came back to life in the 2nd movie and is able to keep comming back over and over again?

Well, in the novel, it states that he was born with this unhuman ablilty to heal. Such as a wound. If he got a cut as a child, it would heal very quickly. So when the children pushed him into the lake, he had drowned but somehow his body fought its way back to life. His face had already suffered through decomposition, and his face was hidious. So he found a burlap sack and put it over his face, which explains how he got that sack in part 2 as well. He doesn't keep coming back to life. He is still alive until part 4 where Tommy Jarvis finally kills him. He ends up resurrecting him in part 6 as well.
