Clint says this will be his last film as an actor. If it is he went out with a bang. He produced and directed Gran Torino and insisted on the no name co stars that helped make the film a success, critically and commercially.
I love films that don't follow the same tired Hollywood blueprint. Gran Torino is typical in no way, from Walt's politically incorrect dialog to his beer with a priest. Eastwood may be climbing up the years, but when he points directly at the screen and grumbles "get off my lawn," you start looking around to see if there's any grass beneath your chair. 9.5
