Enemy Mine (1985) Tagline: Enemies because they were taught to be. Survivors because they had to be. Plot Outline: On a far distant planet, at the height of the war between the Dracon and Terran Empires, two military pilots crash in the heat of battle. One is Terran, one is Drac. Enemy Mine is an amazing story taken from an amazing novel by Barry Longyear. Yes it is set against a science fiction backdrop with aliens but it stands as a lesson in what it means to be human. It is one of my favorite films of all time... in my top ten for sure. Louis Gossett Jr. and Dennis Quaid are literally and figuratively out of this world - 9.75
