It could be because it was in theaters and kept my spirits up during the summer I lost my job and my world was turned upside down... It could be that somewhere in my DNA there is a mutation that brings forth extreme elation when giant robots rip each other apart... whatever the reason - Transformers was most likely the best theater experience I've ever had. I'm not going to argue acting quality or plot holes, I like it and that's enough for me - 10
