5) He ain't the leaving kind - Rascal Flatts This song mentions the fact that Jesus Christ will always be there when you him to be. 4) Third rock form the sun - Joe Diffie 3) Ships of Heaven - Blackhawk The lyrics of this song sounds true when it comes to close friends, relatives and other loved ones that have died over the years. Don't cry for me When I'm gone Keep the faith And be strong Cause through it all I've been blessed I faced my fears And I passed the test So when you look up in the sky On a sunny day Imagine me Driftin' away I'll be sailin' on the ships of Heaven When the tide rolls out for the last time You'll find me sailin' on the ships of Heaven Waitin' for the day I come sailin' back to you Remember all The times we had Some were great Some were sad But you know That in the end Our love was stronger Than when we began No unforgiven sins And no regrets Just the times of our lives That we'll never forget I'll be sailin' on the ships of Heaven When the tide rolls out for the last time You'll find me sailin on the ships of Heaven Waitin for the day I come sailin' back to you I'll be sailin' on the ships of Heaven When the tide rolls out for the last time You'll find me sailin' on the ships of Heaven Waitin for the day I come sailin' back to you When the tide rolls out for the last time You'll find me sailin' on the ships of Heaven Waitin' for the day I come sailin' back to you On the ships of Heaven I come sailin' back to you I come sailin' I come sailin' back to you Yeah

2) Have you forgotten - Darryl Worley How can any body forget about 9-11-2001? As I'll never forget about the 9 year old girl that was born on the day of the attacks and died with the chief judge of the U.S. District Court of Arizona along with 4 others on the day of Elvis Presley's would be Birthday on January 8th of the attempted assassination of Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

1) Why does it have to be (Wrong or Right) - Restless Heart To me, the chorus part of the song has a powerful meaning. Why does it have to be wrong or right Why does it have to be one way or the other Won't somebody please, please tell me Why does it have to be black or white Why do we have to hurt one to love another oh, tell me why, why does it have to be

Thanks guys, I felt that "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" makes the list after seeing The Charlie Daniels Band a few years ago at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, CA. Watching Charlie shred the bow strings on the violin during that song.

It's pretty cool that we got three such quality lists on this board... after seeing Tom Petty voted out of the other contest so early I was wondering if I could find much common ground in music here... but this thread proves that I can. A good variety of the old school and new school country here in our lists. I don't know if you guys have heard of Jamey Johnson (I bet you have) but I think he has the tools to be the best of the new generation. He would have fit right in with Willie and Hag. Or... Between Jennings and Jones

Oh, yes. I've heard of him. I haven't heard too much from him, but people are saying he's the future, if I remember correctly.
