Thanks guys, I felt that "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" makes the list after seeing The Charlie Daniels Band a few years ago at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, CA. Watching Charlie shred the bow strings on the violin during that song.

It's pretty cool that we got three such quality lists on this board... after seeing Tom Petty voted out of the other contest so early I was wondering if I could find much common ground in music here... but this thread proves that I can.

I don't know if you guys have heard of Jamey Johnson (I bet you have) but I think he has the tools to be the best of the new generation. He would have fit right in with Willie and Hag.
