The only other movie character that I can compare with Jeff Bridges complete transformation into Rooster Cogburn is Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow. Both actors seem to literally become a person who is totally unlike their own personalities.
The True Grit remake is everything it should be and anyone who is still complaining about "messing" with the Duke's films should just be quiet. Hailee Steinfeld should win an Oscar for her performance and Matt Damon and Barry Pepper both earn their money. 9.5 from me...
