Shame on you James Cameron...
There are some spectacular 3D images in Sanctum. It's just too bad that we have to sit through such a depressingly boring - depressing story to see any of them.
You go from an amazing base jump into a gigantic cave to the worst poetry reciting ever as the main character bumbles through [[Samuel Coleridge]]’s Kubla Kahn over and over again with some sort of unrecognizable hybrid fake accent. It was so brutal it sounded like a William Shatner version of Chaka Khan's I Feel for You. It gets a 5 from me and it's only the cool geography that saves it from a 3.

I'll be sure to... Stay away from this one.
With all this new film technology, Cameron has been going nuts with it. Many parts in Avatar felt like it was only created for visual pleasure. I was worried this would be the same, but I guess this one has it in even bigger doses.

I'm all for the visual pleasure part... and I loved Avatar. As long as there is a coherent story in a movie and decent acting I won't be too critical about excessive effects... because I'm an excessive effects junkie. But this was just bad. There should have been way more of the eye candy just for the sake of eye candy in this one, then it would have been much better;D
