Anderson Silva learned this kick from 7th degree Aikido Shihan black belt, Steven Seagal (No, I'm not kidding.  ) Silva has been training with Seagal for months. Seagal stated that he worked on that exact kick for 40 years, finally perfecting it. He showed it to Anderson, who clearly utilized it in perfect fashion.
