This is my kind of movie. Simple, scifi action... old school style. There are even old school laser guns complete with the "BAZOOP" sound. The villains are awesome the super powers make you want one and the special effects are sharp but never over the top. I'll give it an 8 and gladly buy a ticket to the sequel.

Nice. This movie hasn't interested me, much. At least from the previews, anyway. But apparently it's a pretty good flick that I need to check out. I still need to see Due Date.

I don't know if you'd like Number 4 or not Jason... I'd be interested to see what you thought about it. I'm an easy sucker for such subject matter so my thoughts of it are probably tainted. Marii really liked it also but she likes that stuff too.

Yeah, I wasn't too big a fan of Avatar. The effects were probably the best I've ever seen in a movie, but that's what carried the film, in my opinion.

Number Four didn't have a lot of effects. It had some but the film was more character based. I could have used a few more. ;D
