This is another film where I'm baffled by the critics. The average score on IMDB is 4.3... Really? I enjoyed Anaconda, it had great scenery, pretty good creature effects and succeeded in being creepy, scary and gross... which is the point of a horror creature feature right? I give it a strong 7.5

This movie looked so interesting to me as a kid when it came out. But I still haven't seen it and have always wanted to. A lot of films I like have terrible ratings. Particularly the cheesy horror ones. Jack Frost is one of my favorite horror movies ever, and I think it got a 4.1 on IMDb I suppose I do understand why they have terrible ratings, but films like that are the ones I have the most fun watching.

Critics don't seem to give our kinds of movies a lot of credit. Horror/scifi films tend to average much lower than other films... but that's OK if they don't get it

If it isn't a mob movie or a war movie, you usually won't see a great rating.

Or a sad depressing drama where old people and children die.

The same logic that went into the killing of your friend's dog... I'm sure of it

If they made a movie out of it, the critics will "rave"!
