And I'd never boo my team. I would agree about 99.9 percent... because I would have definitely booed the Hornets after they buzzed off. I can let go of my dislike for them now because George Shinn is no longer their owner. I guess that doesn't count as my team anymore after they left though... maybe.

That's what I was thinking before I read your last line. Not your team anymore. Boo them all you want. ;D Or, at least boo the owner.

Yeah, they left us... and I was a faithful Hornets fan. I had a conversation with my uncle last night (another Panthers fan) and I told him that the number of players that had come into the NFL with the confidence and talent that Cam Newton has can be counted on one hand. Marino, Elway, Manning - I did not see that degree of confidence and poise in their whole rookie seasons. He has attitude without ego. I watched him for 6 or 7 training camp days this year and EVERYBODY there could see it. He doesn't have the giant ego that Deion Sanders had, but he has the exact same swagger that exudes "I'm great". And what is the scariest thing - He appears to have the work ethic of legendary hard workers like Jerry Rice - the picture above is what he did (in 100 degree heat) at every drill change: he ran full speed and was the first player to reach the drill area, where he then asked the coaches questions. It was usually a 50 to 75 yard sprint for him too. Today, 400 yards and 3 touchdowns later, I sound like a prophet, but I'll have to admit I never dreamed that he'd have the greatest debut by a quarterback ever. Will he have ups and downs this year? Of course. And Carolina may not even have a winning record. But, I do hope I remember the location of this post 20-25 years from now so that when Newton is a first ballot hall of famer... I'll have proof when I say to the world "I told you so."

Chris was so bummed that the Titans couldn't get him He definitely impressed me, today, whether or not the Panthers lost. He seems to have the work ethic of a champ and ferocious athleticism. I'll bet he'll be s stud soon.

Barring a catastrophic injury I have no doubt he's headed to Canton.

What an epic performance! Sucks Green Bay came from behind, though.

If they would get the running game going they would be winning easily. I like how they are letting him build his confidence early. And learn NFL game speed so early.

I have DeAngelo in my other draft. He's not doing so well. Maybe Miami can suck for Luck?

I have DeAngelo in my other draft. He's not doing so well. I got stuck with Williams in one league too. I immediately sat him on the bench for later. There is nothing wrong with him at all, but I think they are doing the right thing... and I figured they would. They are just not handing him the ball. They know this is rebuild/train Newton mode. Why run a top 5 back into the ground. Plus Stewart would start on most every other team so they will share touches. It makes Carolina a bad deal for RBs in FF. One of those two should heat up later in the season if not both, but I don't look for them to pound it on offense like Fox did ever again. I'm pretty excited about that offense. It has all the pieces to be great at some point. Williams, Stewart, Armanti Edwards, Steve Smith (if he stays healthy), Brandon LaFell, and the two awesome TEs: Olsen and Shockey. Those guys are the tools that will give Cam no excuses once he gets to see a season of NFL reads.

Seems like a lot of NFL teams are in rebuild mode. Denver and Miami included. Side note: I'm so sick of Denver having a tough schedule.
