I've heard of legends from many cultures about humans transforming into animals. The wolfman is the most well-known, originating in Europe, but I've also heard of leopardmen from Africa, crocodilemen from India, and jaguarmen from South America.
Anyone know of any other beastmen legends from other countries or cultures?

Dog Soldiers and Ginger Snaps are both very unique werewolf films. They're probably my two favorites. Big Bad Wolf is also severely underrated in my opinion.

Dog Soldiers and Ginger Snaps are both very unique werewolf films. They're probably my two favorites. Big Bad Wolf is also severely underrated in my opinion. Um, yeah. I don't see what this has to do with my original post, but yeah, good movies. |

what is ginger snaps.candy killer movie? Ha ha! Sounds like it, eh? No, it's a movie about two high school girls who are friends, kinda social outcasts, and one of them gets bitten by a werewolf. (Her name is Ginger). The director uses the changing process as kind of a metaphor for puberty; Ginger's personality changes, from timid geek into in-your-face party girl. Oh, and of course she turns into a werewolf and kicks the asses of lots of people who used to make fun of her. I think they made a sequel, but I don't know anything about it. |
