I'm having one of the worst stretches I can remember in the history of me watching sports. This is the worst Dolphins offseason since Marino was pushed out. The only good thing was that Jeff Fisher turned us down and we got coach Philbin instead... I think that will turn out better.
We didn't get a quarterback... unless you count David Garrard who nobody wanted last year. We had to get rid of our best wr. And our front office is now the laughing stock of the league.
Then just for the whipped topping... Tebow goes to the JESTS, one of my favorite players in decades makes my most hated rival relevant again... bleh...
In basketball: Duke gets knocked out in the first round of March Madness in one the worst upsets of all time - 2 seed vs 15 seed. And the worst part is that my Tarheels who were picked by many to win it all - lost their best player and (IMO) the best point guard in the country and it happened right when they had to play the top teams. Off course they lost to Kansas. Now all the ACC teams are gone... so I'm left to just pull against Kentucky.
In baseball: Chipper Jones just blew out his knee and it's just spring training so I'm scared to even start the real season...
@#$%&! I'm glad I'm not into any other sports very much...

I'm sure things will turn around for you sooner, rather than later. I can sense your sarcasm in that first paragraph, too. I went through the same thing you did in 2010. Denver finished 4-12, 2nd worst record in NFL, right after that, Carmelo ditches us for New York, the Rockies missed the playoffs and the Avalanche also finished with the 2nd worst record in hockey. Although it's not a huge step up, I think Garrard will do good things for you. And I still think trading Marshall was a good thing for you guys. Sucks you missed out on Fisher, though. The Tebow thing is a tough spot. Are you going to route for him? Or route against him? While still hating the Jets. I route against Marcel Reece of the Raiders, and I knew him in school. At least your Spurs are kicking butt again. They started out pretty slow, but they're right up there with the Thunder.

Lol... I was actually serious about Fisher, we have pretty much had the record he has had, we've lost coaches with better W/L percentage. I was hoping all along that he didn't come to Miami. With that said... he made an amazing move first off with the Rams. I'm all about trading really high picks for more picks... and he just plain abused Washington - he has pretty much said that having Bradford and the high pick to trade was the reason he went to St. Louis.
That trade is very similar to what Jimmy Johnson did to the Vikings when he first took over the Cowboys... and that led to a decade of dominance (not that I liked it.)
I'm really happy with coach Philbin, I think he's the main reason for GB's offensive success. I think Rodgers is the real deal, maybe the best in the game right now, but I seriously believe he would be putting up Marino like numbers and losing more games just like Dan did with no offensive coordinator. I'm excited to see what the new system does for us and Reggie Bush.
Philbin is also big on TE's which I've been screaming for for years. Pass catching TE monsters are way more important than the NFL gives them credit for right now. I have faith that Philbin will get one or more.
Knowing about Marshall's recent troubles the trade was a good one. I was never mad about him leaving, just the value we got... but now that the news came out we did pretty good.
The college BB gets worse for me... My two most hated teams are actually playing in the final... I can't believe I have to pull for Kansas.
Jason, you are right about the Spurs. They are looking good, but I don't think they have big guns to take it all, but I hope I'm wrong.
And Tebow... wow, I guess I'll just hope the Jets go through as much turmoil as possible and Tebow keeps his cool and winds up the only one looking good. He's just such a bright light in a dark world to me... I know that might sound corny but his values are so much like mine. I tried really hard at one time to do many of the things he's doing (and I'm talking about the off the field work, not football of course). I cannot pull against him, but I won't pull for the Jets until their game outcomes don't affect the Dolphins chances of winning the East.

You guys got two 3rd round picks for Marshall, right? At this point, I think he's barely worth just one. He's inconsistent, and his legal troubles just seal the deal. Expect the Bears to have a roller coaster of a season in 2012. And haha. I thought you wanted Jeff Fisher. I do like the Jets, mainly because of the Buddy Ryan defense, and although Rex is a weirdo, I certainly have a lot of respect for him as a coach. I'm just glad Tebow isn't a Raider or something.
