[red]To all the WWE fans out there that might have missed it...[/red] As I watched it happened...
"A real life heart attack on-air"
On the September 10, 2012 live edition of Monday Night Raw, Jerry Lawler seriously and truthfully collapsed at the announcers table between the 1 hour - 1:30 hours in the 3 hour time frame while the unlikely tag team of Kane and Daniel Bryan (who are both currently going through "anger management" issues together) competed against The Prime Time Players of Darren Young and Titus O'Neil. Updates were provided during the live broadcast by fellow commentator Michael Cole. By the end of the live broadcast at around 11:15 p.m. EST/8:15 p.m. PST was announced that he had received CPR, but was breathing on his own and reacting to what's going on around himself.
It was later confirmed on WWE.com that Lawler had suffered a mild heart attack.
On the anniversary day of 9/11, he underwent an angioplasty to improve the blood flow to his heart. On the following day, reports show that Lawler was slowly being eased off sedation and his ventilator was removed. He is able to blink, nod, squeeze with his hands and do other minor things, though the doctors are still awaiting test results to see what the extent of the damage was, if any, to his brain. That same day the results came in with several CT scans showed no signs of brain damage. Which is good to know.
Hope Lawler gets well soon and is able to be like himself come Sept. 17th or Sept. 24th of 2012 on a new live edition of Monday Night Raw as if the heart attack never even happened in the first place.

King is like me... he needs to lay off that fried chicken, sweet tea and pecan pie! I hope he gets back on his feet real soon, the show isn't the same without him.

As far as I'm concerned, with the way I eat, I'm already living on borrowed time. ;D

Lol... like I've said before - I've ate right, worked out, no drugs, never smoked or drank (much)... and look where the #$*% that got me!

In Lawler's case, it's difficult to say on what he had to eat earlier on b4 Raw even started. But what I think that lead to his heart attack was after a match he had during the show.

I don't think it was what he ate right before the show... it was what he ate all those years before the show - Southern cooking will get you like that... slowly over time. ;D
I'm just glad he's alright now... and hopefully his doctors will get him on the proper diet and lifestyle to keep him healthy.

An all green diet is supposed to be ridiculously healthy.

Good to hear during Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown earlier this week is that The King will be back and (a)live on the Nov. 12th edition of Monday Night Raw.

I bought The Very Best of WCW and watched a good portion of it. Reliving old memories. I think WCW was my favorite.
