Why has there not been a thread made?! I'm liking what I'm seeing so far by the Nuggets. 17 out of their first 24 games were played on the road, and they still managed to stay above .500 and are currently the 6th seed in the west. 8.5 games behind OKC. They are in the midst of a huge home stretch and could very well become the 4 seed very soon. I'm still upset about the scheduling. George Karl requested not to travel with the team during that massive road stretch because it had been taxing on his health and body. I heard one announcer say, "Who did the Nuggets offend in the league offices to get a schedule like this? This is a terrible schedule". Pretty much sums up my thoughts. But Denver pulled through okay, and just came off a THRILLING overtime victory against OKC. They didn't air the game, but I got to see the end on NBA TV, and it was one of the most technically brilliant and skillful games of basketball I have ever seen. Denver proved to me that night that not only are they good enough for the playoffs, hell, they could make it to the dance.

I see Denver losing in the first round. They are playing way over their heads right now. I'm thinking the dark horse in each conference is Memphis & Indiana. I love what both of these teams bring to the table. By the way, isn't the Lakers' floundering great to see!!!

I love it. I'm seeing people jump the bandwagon. Never seen so many Clippers fans here in my life. Hahaha.

Damn, sounds like I missed a great game. So in other words this was a game that could have gone either way .... with Indiana missing their top scorer (Granger). Hmmm.
Can you believe the Lakers losing to the crappy Raptors (with no all-stars & no strategic identity) last week? Can it get any lower for a team with 5 all-stars in their starting line-up?

They won three straight. And finally cracked the top 20 in the power poll! Denver had the game in the bag, but Indiana went on a huge run in the final few minutes. Denver came through, though.

OH MY GOD ...... Why? Why? Memphis traded Rudy Gay to the lowly Raptors, where he'll flounder for sure (just like Hedo, Jermaine, Jalen, the Matrix and the list goes on). Essentially decent players go to Toronto to 'die'. In the process, my Memphis time removed an important piece of their offense for Tayshaun Prince ..... a great defender ...... 6 years ago. ARGH.

Yeah. I thought that trade was stupid.
Goodbye 4 seed, Memphis.
NBA trades seldom make sense.

Nuggets have torn through the league. 2nd best record in 2013 behind Miami. ESPN The Magazing picked Denver in the finals to face the Heat. Which was surprising. I thought i was the only one with faith in this team. Recently, the Nuggets lost their two top scorers, Ty lawson and Danilo Gallinari, and are still running rampid all over the league. I think the Nuggets are finally making believers out of all the doubters who didn't think the Denver bench was anything to fawn over. The Nuggets just whooped San Antonio (sorry, MIB) by ten points without Lawson and Gallinari. What does that say? But how well do the Nuggets play when they're up against the best of the best in the NBA? Let's take a quick look at the Nuggets season series vs. current western conference playoff seeds, starting with 8th seed and up: Nuggets vs. Lakers: Nuggets win 3-1 Nuggets vs. Rockets: Nuggets win 4-0 Nuggets vs. Warriors: Nuggets win 3-1 Nuggets vs. Grizzlies: Nuggets win 3-1 Nuggets vs. Clippers: Nuggets win 2-1 Nuggets vs. Spurs: Tied 2-2 Nuggets vs. Thunder: Nuggets win 3-1 Well, I sure as hell am liking our playoff chances. It is scary to think we have to move forward without Danilo for the rest of the season, though.

That sucked about Danillo's injury... but Denver seems to be that team that just keeps on rolling no matter who they lose or add. So maybe they'll be alright.
I have to give you props Jason. I remember somewhere we were talking about the Lakers and the Heat being Super Teams. When I said it was almost a given the LA would join Miami in the Finals... you said you didn't think they would fit together and the whole thing would blow up. Well I didn't forget and here is your official cookie ;D It's one of those things I'm perfectly happy to be wrong about.
Now if the Heat would choke it will turn out to be a fine season after all.
I don't know who I'm taking in the West yet. I guess I'll lean toward OKC and SA in the conference championship, but Denver is perfectly capable of knocking out either of them.
