Post sequels that equaled or even surpassed the originals, and then post some that sucked huge donkey balls.
(We're not counting prequels here, or remakes).
Good:
-Aliens -Friday the 13th II and IV -Nightmare on Elm Street II -Predator II -X Men II -Blade II -Spider Man II -Superman II -Halloween II (Carpenter's) and IV -Hellraiser II and IV
Bad:
-Jaws 2 -Gremlins 2 -X-Men 3 -Spider Man 3 -Superman 3 and 4 -Hellraiser 3 -Halloween 3 -Nightmare on Elm Street 4 + -Friday the 13th 5 - 10

I liked Friday the 13th VI and Halloween III, even though III wasn't exactly a sequel to the Michael story. I also liked NOES 4. Good: Evil Dead II was good, though, I prefer the first one. Same goes for Army of Darkness, as well. Basically every sequel to Sleepaway Camp I also loved. Bride of Re-Animator and Beyond Re-Animator were great additions to the original. One of the best horror movies ever. Basket Case II and III. One of the greatest horror trilogies around. So cheesy, original and fun. Phantasm II was PHANtastic. I think I prefer that one over the first one. But barely, if I do. The Psycho sequels, while nowhere near as good as the original, were actually quite well done. The Gingerdead Man sequels. The entire trilogy was ridiculous, but so fun to watch. Maniac Cop II and III. Another fully solid horror trilogy. Hannibal. Doesn't top the original, but a great film in its own right. Wishmaster 2. The Devil's Rejects. I liked it the first time I saw it, but the second time around, it jumped ahead of the original, for me. Bad: Wishmaster 3 and 4. Seed of Chucky Jason X Freddy's Dead Jack Frost 2 Paranormal Activity sequels. I enjoy watching all of these, but if you compare them to the original, they don't hold a candle.
