I have the itch to go on a horror run. I hope it doesn't die by the time October rolls around like it did for the last two contests. Anybody else ready for the challenge?

Killer Party:
I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed Killer Party. It was somewhat of a slow build up to get to the actual April Fools Party that the college kids attended, but the build up was fun and entertaining enough to set up a beautiful 3rd act of 80's horror excellence and an unexpected type of ending that surely would have haunted me for a while had I first watched it while I was a kid.
I am thrilled I picked this one out.

Hell Night
I've wanted to see this movie for almost ten years, maybe. Finally put it in a couple of days ago, and it did not disappoint. It's definitely on par with Killer Party, although Killer Party is not nearly as well known as Hell Night. During a college party, Peter, college student and president of Alpha Sigma Row, decides that four of the new pledges have to spend the night in Garth Manor. That's the way to to become a member. The partygoers accompany the poor four souls on a stroll to the Manor, where Peter tells the rumors of the house's history perfectly. Are the rumors true? Or is it all a gag? Finding out is the funnest part in another horror film I highly recommend.

Cheerleader Camp
This one is fun. I had the pleasure of seeing it for the first time a few years ago. I decided to watch it again for the challenge, and it is fun. The cheer team is off to a remote location to practice cheer when one by one they are violently murdered. The film clearly tries to indicate that the killer is among them, but nobody knows who it could be.

Woot!
I'm currently in a Phantasm marathon. Finished the first two, moving onto the 3rd in a minute, and after the sun goes down, I'll finish the series witht he 4th. I've always loved the first two, and I haven't seen the last two before. But if they're anything like the first two, it's likely to be one of my favorite horror series ever.
