I thought I'd start up a thread for the WWE Network. I'll give a review of my thoughts so far as well.
DX and Stephanie promote the WWE Network launch
I picked it up the first night it came out to take advantage of the free trial. It worked well on my phone, tablet, computer and PS3. Plus, I now have my new computer hooked up to my 46 inch tv by hdmi cable - I did that for movies but it goes great with the Network.

First I'll get the negative out of the way, and there's not much. I just plain don't like the entire interface. It's not terribly confusing, but it's not clear and concise either... kind of like going from your neck to your navel to get to your nipple. The Network is sort of vaguely morphed with the regular WWE site and sometimes I'm not real sure which I'm on.
My advice: WWE you have a ridiculous amount of HQ content to offer... clear it up, label it properly and get out of your own way. Plus, either combine the two sites into one where you can see all the Network content without signing in... but of course can't access it until you do - or completely separate the Network from the main WWE site except for a simple, yet easy to locate and access link.
The only other "con" I have so far is that my phone and tablet seem to get stuck for about 30 seconds trying to communicate a location to the Network. It seems pointless, but maybe there's a good reason.
Now for the good! And boy there is a TON of good! As a rasslin' fan of over 35 years the WWE Network is the holy grail of archives. Epic is the one word I'd use. Every single PPV in WWE history is available. If that's not enough all of the NWA/WCW shows are also included. Why stop there... ECW and all of it's extreme parties are represented.
This is just the 1997 page of WCW PPVs!!!
The Network itself doesn't have a lot of programming now, but it is building up more content. I appreciate the chance to catch replays of recent shows without having to waste valuable DVR space. I'm not much of a pre/post show guy... but if you are into that stuff the Network has it in spades. Every TV show is treated like a PPV event with all sorts of coverage and commentary before and after it airs.
As far as what will be added in the near future... there is a lot of talk that the entire archive of TV shows from WWE, WCW and ECW will be available just like the PPVs are now. I for one relish the idea of being able to watch some of the Raw and Nitro episodes from the Monday Night Wars era, so I hope that is a solid rumor.
Now for the the main course and the icing on top rolled into one. The icing... that's the freakin' price. The whole thing is 9.99 a month! Sure you have to commit for 6 months, but that's definitely not an issue for me. Why'd I go with the icing before the meal? Because it's the price that makes this steak taste so good and the meat here is that any current WWE PPV is included free!
I had quit buying WWE PPVs. I just couldn't afford them. As I get older I don't have that group of friends close like in the old days when we'd put a money jar on the TV and everyone would pitch in to pay for the show. And when the WWE started charging even more to see it in HD... they lost me.
Now I have the chance to watch Wrestlemania live again... in HD... for 10 bucks. Shhhh... don't tell Vinnie Mac, but I'd take that deal without the archives, and to me having those are even better... like a treasure chest.
What a Rush!!!
So... that's my review. Anyone else get the Network? If so what do you think?
