Welcome to MIB's 2014 Football spectacular! This year I changed it up just a little... From "NFL" to "Football" in general... not to be confused with "Futbol"

Our Spectacular Week One in Pictures! Hey, I know her. It really was just about the best opening week you could ask for in the NFL. Our teams all won, and each match up was a tough one for all of them. The only thing that would've made it a little sweeter is if Seattle had lost at home. Wouldn't have minded seeing Cleveland pull out the upset in Pittsburgh, either. Knowshon obliterated the NE defense in his debut outside of Denver. That 3rd & goal effort to put the game away was incredible.

An incredible first showing for Miami. He is the toughest runner in the league, in my opinion.

Lol, he's such a tuff runner he broke the video.
I know it will be forever touchy for you Jason to even hear the name Seahawks. I can't help but like them though. I wasn't pulling for them in the SB, of course... I'm too big of a Manning fan. But they are fun to watch... and they are a dominating team that don't reside in Dallas, SF or NE... Plus, I'll probably always be a Russell Wilson mark.
I'll go on record saying I think the SB will be a rematch this season. The Cowboys should be shot for letting DeMarcus Ware go... lol he's been their best player for years, he will be a force for Denver if he stays healthy.
Carolina, IMO, is the only stopper for Seattle and the Panthers would maybe win that playoff game 1 out of 5 tries. Denver on the other hand... NE is always dangerous, but the only legit threat, in my view, is the Bengals... and that is sad for the AFC because I give Cincy about a 1 in 10 chance of winning a playoff game in Denver... and you know that's where that game would take place.

Damn. Video got removed. It was all of Knowshon's highlights from that day, packed into a 90 second video. Fun watch. I hope his elbow is okay. He looked like he hyper-extended it pretty badly. I do like a good portion of the guys in Seattle. I dig Russell Wilson, he seems like a good guy, and he is fun to watch. I am not really a fan of Pete Carroll anymore, though. I always rooted for him to do well in college, but that whole USC scandal went down, plus, he's been a bit of a prick lately. He said he felt bad, so he let Denver score in the Super Bowl. I think we all know the Broncos did not show up to play in the Super Bowl, that day. My only gripe with Seattle is their fans. I'd see them all over youtube videos or Broncos news articles throughout the offseason that had nothing to do with Seattle, and they'd be in the comment section typing "43-8", etc. I can take a good ribbing or heckling after such a pitiful performance, but a lot of the stuff they'd say would go way beyond your typical heckling. Most of the stuff I read is downright vulgar. I have also never in my life ran into a Seahawks fan until this offseason. I've seen at least six or seven Seahawks fans this year, alone. But bandwagoners will bandwagon. Also, I don't know if I am crazy or what, but I could swear that Seattle's defense is the only defense in the league that gets away with tough, physical play. I love watching great defenses and hard hits in the NFL, but it feels like the referees are only lenient with Seattle, and nobody else. But that wouldn't be Seattle's fault. It just feels like a completely different era of officiating when Seattle's defense is on the field. They are roughing up receivers off the line, heavy-hitting, lots of contact when passes are thrown. Which I am cool with as long as the other teams get to do the same thing. All in all, there are guys I really like in Seattle, but I actually have been rooting for them to lose, pretty much because of their fans. They have been ultra-dickish for the last seven months and it would feel super sweet to be able to shut them up in their own stadium. I kind of want a Super Bowl rematch with Seattle, to be honest. Denver just needs to actually show up to it and play. I am completely sold on Carolina. I was wondering if the loss at home to SF in the Wild Card round last season brought them back down to Earth, but they won without Newton, and completely neutralized Calvin Johnson and the Detroit offense and dominated that game. Very impressive. They're probably the #1 or #2 team in the NFC right now. I will say it will be a pretty bitter-sweet Super Bowl if we do win one this season, the year we release Champ. He was the guy I wanted to see get a ring most of all. It's wishful thinking, but I would love it if they picked him up in free agency and signed him to a small contract. He means a lot to everyone in Denver.

I'd go for that with Champ, all teams should do more stuff like that for their fans and all time great players. It rarely happens but it should.
I think that this matchup in Seattle is make or break for Denver, if they lose a close game they will be fine, but if they were to get whipped again... it could be bad news for a SB rematch. I hope it's a good game... can't believe your Chargers beat Seattle that was a shock to me.

I wasn't too shocked, truthfully. Every team is gunning to take down the winners of last year's Super Bowl. Plus, San Diego has shown a lot of improvement over the last season or two. I'm beginning to worry about having to play them twice a year, now.

My teams are mostly middle of the pack right now, but I've built up waiver wire power and playoff matchups as I always do. So I'm happy with where most are. My strategy of not taking RBs high because they always get hurt has paid off.
Those laughing at me for taking Jimmy Graham #1 instead of Peterson or Charles are no longer laughing (and for whatever reason I drafted 1st 4 or 5 times this year). Getting mid range RB points from a TE spot is worth 2 healthy RBs everytime... it's just simple math. That and having a QB that produces solidly. Different starting RBs can be picked up on the waiver wire each week. Yeah, you still have to score from the RB spot, but if the 15 points is from Kniles Davis or Matt Asiata one week - doesn't it still count 15?
I guess the moral of the story is that in fantasy football... you don't fuck with a guy with a Mensa IQ and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING else to do!!! LOL!
