Going into the draft today I've got a few guys that I think will stand out in their NFL careers. I don't always get it right, but I've got a pretty good track record for picking some sure thing kind of guys. I'm not saying these will be the only great players from the 2015 Draft but here are the ones that I believe are no doubters:1. Amari Cooper - Alabama - This guy excelled in a run oriented offense. You won't see anyone run smoother routes or make better perfectly timed cuts within those routes. Plus, he has the rest of the physical tools you look for in a number one receiver. And the intangible, he just plain wants it. 2. Vic Beasley - Clemson - I'm not just playing homer on Beasley because he's a Clemson Tiger. He's got the speed, strength and fast-twitch muscle fiber to lead the league in sacks. And in this day and age his lack of off the field problems is refreshing. Combine that with his intelligence and upbeat personality and you have a star in the making. 3. Todd Gurley - Georgia - He reminds me a lot of Stephen Jackson in his prime. If he stays healthy he will be better than Jackson. And while the health of a RB is always a big IF... if he avoids that IF for most of his career... it will end in Canton. Beasley vs Gurley Why is Jameis Winston not on my list? It's not because he lacks the tools... he reminds me physically of a guy I don't throw comparisons to around lightly - Elway. The problem is that he is a true criminal like Michael Vick, Aaron Hernandez, Lawrence Phillips and others of that ilk. Meaning that the only reason he behaves at all is so he can stay on the football field. He is not a guy that "just makes mistakes" he is a bad person that enjoys his actions. Will he succeed? Probably, because he's pretty smart... but I wouldn't want a man of his character leading my team or for that matter even being part of anything I was involved in. If principals and morals are not important then Winston is the pick.

I don't know much about the college players, this year. Personally, anyway. I do feel Winston is definitely the best QB available. I think Mariota is going to need good coaching to shine on the field. I've heard Winston's gotten into trouble, but I never looked much into him. I'll take your word for it that he is a bad dude.
I somehow predicted Denver would trade up and grab Shane Ray. No idea how I managed that. I am still majorly bummed about the outcome of the Super Bowl last year that I still am pretty bitter about football, so I haven't paid much attention to the combine and scouting, etc... Everyone I listened to predicted Denver would pick an offensive lineman. I heard about this Shane Ray kid and thought Elway might want to spend a little and try to get him before someone else did. Blew my own mind when I saw that happen live.
Can't blame Tennessee for the way they went, either. QB is their biggest need, not sure if they wanted Mariota so bad, but they wanted the entire farm for their 2 pick and it just wasn't enough. I think I would've pulled the trigger on Mariota in that situation, too.
I was stoked to see a running back go early. Don't know how the NFL got it into their heads that the running back position isn't so important. Rooting for Gurley.

I honestly didn't think any type of punishment would be inflicted on Brady, even after the Wells report. I assumed he wouldn't get suspended, figured the league would do that "Mom" thing... Put their fists on their hips and scowl at him, then recite his full name so he knows he done wrong. "Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr... Don't you ever, EVER do that again". I'm sure he'll get his sentence reduced, but it is good that the entire world outside of Boston is finally being educated on what a cheating team they are. *
