Aside from the Broncos being the most injured team in sports history, this year itself is also hard to watch. Covid nonsense, no fans, more politics... it's just really hard to get into for me.
My favorite thing of the year was the Broncos putting hundreds of cardboard cutouts of South Park characters in the stands. I think every character in South Park history was at the game last Sunday. Lmao...

Well, Covid has pretty much shut me down. My doctors told me if I want to live... Stay home. I haven't left my home since January (save for once to drive my son's boat home in July). So... Anyway sports has been a good outlet for me.
Baseball is easy as this is the best Braves team in at least a decade and a half. Football... Well, THIS was supposed to be the year for Clemson as Trevor Lawrence took the Heisman and the National championship. It may still happen, but there'll probably be an asterisk.
As for the NFL... It's definitely interesting. I like the crazy storylines with a potential Brady vs Camtriots Superbowl (not happening lol). Problem is they've learned nothing from MLB and NBA and now they've got a Covid outbreak.
What am I pulling for this season? Houston's opponents... Miami has their top 2 picks and Trevor Lawrence looms. Whether they'd take Lawrence or trade the pick, number one's value hasn't been this high since Peyton.
The Panthers have a small chance at Trevor, but they're just slightly too good to tank. Frankly, losing Cam and Keuchly plus Greg Olson was too much. That shit hurt.
Predictions: Hard to pick against KC, but with a gun to my head having to decide now... I've got a KC vs Green Bay SB with the Packers on top. ( Those Titans be lookin' good)
And for the love of all things gridiron... Please don't let the Jets wind up with Trevor Lawrence 🥺
And did Gase and the Jets just give Belecheat Le'Veon Bell? For free? Come on Dolphins pick him up first.

Covid came back in a much weaker strain, luckily. Its second surge is considerably weaker than the first surge. Which is great news. Also, the Covid Task Force is nearing completion of a vaccine. So it's a really promising outlook for that.
I purposely avoided this thread, hoping not to jinx them against the Dodgers by posting positive vibes (because I'm superstitious like that). So bummed they lost. I dig this Braves team and hope they'll be back next year. For now, Go Rays! Lol.
I feel like there is a small asterisk on all titles this year, what with the shortened and delayed seasons in all the sports. Plus no fans. NHL and NBA finished with theirs, now just waiting on MLB and NFL.
Missed chatting with ya.

Yeah, I've missed this too.
I thought sports had turned the corner too, but college football may not even make it to bowls now. NFL looks like it will limp through. I just hope the vaccine comes through soon and saves a bunch of lives... We can get back into sports next year lol.
I really like my Dolphins team, they are heading in the right direction. I knew Denver would best them though. They matchup terrible with Broncos defense. Panthers are meh... I miss Cam, I can only imagine what he could do with that offense... He's doing admirably with absolutely nothing in NE.
David and I are still excited about Braves. That was a year before we were supposed to contend and we did it with ONE starting pitcher. We just signed Charlie Morton and our ace Soroka will be back by mid season. Hopefully we keep Ozuna.
I knew Braves Dodgers was the real WS... David and I both said that the winner of that series would be champs.
Speaking of David, he's the best player on his HS team now. He started in 8th grade and they of course missed his freshman year. But, he's continued to play travel ball and is the best prospect on THAT team and has been playing in front of scouts already. He got a hit off a Clemson commit last weekend (was throwing in 90s). He hit David in the ribs 1st at bat then David got pissed and got a hit next at bat. His ribs are still hurting lol. If I could get David to work out he'd be a lock for a college scholarship. He won't work out at home at all...

David's young and his hormones are running wild. If you could prove to him that all the girls would be clinging to him if he just built a little muscle it should be enough motivation for him to hit the gym. lol.
As far as baseball, I fear Arenado will be traded soon. Hard to blame him, he wants to win, and knowing my luck, he will be traded to the Dodgers of all teams. So annoying. The front office is making little to no effort to contend, so really they're the ones to blame.
The Broncos are getting totally shafted by the NFL this year. We missed our bye week because a game was postponed due to covid, then all of our QBs were ruled out and that game wasn't rescheduled. Injuries galore, just an annoying season for sports all over, really. Hopefully next year everything will return to normal, but who knows. My fandom is dwindling with sports year after year.
Right now I've just been binge-jamming to Townes Van Zandt.

The problem with David and girls motivation is that he's already the most popular guy in school with the hottest, richest girlfriend lol... None of which I could relate to in highschool. Now he's got a dirtbike and I'm afraid he's gonna hurt himself knocking him out of baseball. Ahhh... Teenagers 🤣 I could have him in such shape if he'd let me, I was a workout beast, I was ripped in my late teens and 20s.
And yep Broncos got 100 percent hosed with that qb thing. But, I'm simply looking at this season as a draft pick year, because unlike baseball nothing in NFL is fair... and whoever wins definitely gets asterisk from me.
Like I see this week as Miami outplayed KC they only won because of KR td and Miami's missed FG... Yet we still got a draft pick spot... Lol. Denver screwed up and beat Carolina lol.
Now, the Jets may actually give us Clemson fans another year (that actually means something) of Trevor Lawrence... As he's hinting at staying another year if Jets get #1.
I know, I know... I'm trying to see a bright side. Maybe if Arenado goes he'll go to Braves (I doubt we can afford him), but you're right Dodgers, Yanks, Sox are probably gonna get him because of cost. Braves did get Charlie Morton and Smiley, we'd have won WS if we'd had them this year.
On the bright side a bit also, I'm loving that Nuggets team right now. Bol Bol is a better prospect that Giannis was and they've got a great core and FO. I hope they win it all!

The Jets may have lost any shot at Lawrence with that win over the Rams. Now it looks like Jacksonville will take him. I actually won almost 500 dollars betting on the Jets to win that game too. Lol.
At this point, I'm not holding out hope for Arenado staying in Colorado. I'll consider it a win if he goes anywhere but Loss Angeles.
I was so stoked about landing Bol Bol. I am fascinated by his Dad. Lol. Jokic turned out to he an absolute stud and Jamal Murray has unreal potential. The Nuggets will be a contender for many years, most likely. The Pepsi Center was also renamed to Ball Arena. Denver fans are already referring it as "The Sack".

DeShaun Watson rumored to Denver. Would be pretty cool, but I think I'd rather see him in Miami for you, MIB.
