Ive been interested in the UFC for awhile now. Im thinking about training to try and become a UFC fighter. Allthough it is kind of a late start, Im willing to do it. Anyways, my favorite fighter is Ken Shamrock. But hes pretty close to retirement, so I'd say Chuck Liddell is my favorite current fighter.

I've gotten reintersted in the UFC in the past 7 months or so. it even got me to start taking some martial arts classes. we mostly do kickboxing with a little bit of Kali (weaponary) at times. Personally, I like the UFC a little more than Pride. I can't really name a particular favorite fighter but my list of faves would go like this:
Heavyweights: Cabbage (although he's horrible now) Andrei Arlovski Frank Mir Mirko "Cro Cop"
LHW Tito Ortiz Randy Courture Rampage Jackson
others:
Matt Hughes Karo Parisyan Genki Sudo Kazushi Sakuraba

Im thinking about taking Ju Jitzu, however you spell it. I never really watch Pride. Im sure its ok though, but UFC is the bigger name, and thats what I started watching first.

I watched the early UFC with Shamrock, Gracie, Severen and those guys. I have about 6 movies of UFC fighting. I love it.

I hate how they say the gloves are meant only for protecting the knuckles. Thats BS. The only reason why they did that was to prevent the fighters from getting killed. Well. Not killed. But you get the idea.

Yeah I know what you are saying. I haven't watched it for awhile, but do the gloves help? I know is some of the early ones, without gloves, some fighters did break their hands and it pretty much ruined the fight.

I heard they designed the gloves to prevent faces from getting smashed in.
