I have the results of UFC 54: Boiling Point. Im happy about most of the matches but theres one Im ratehr disappointed with. The Diego Sanchez match. Those who know me know I dont like that jackass. Well, heres the results......
Preliminary Bouts:
- James Irvin (206 lbs) def. Terry Martin (206 lbs) via KO in round 2. Irvin knocked Martin out with a flying knee.
- Trevor Prangley (184.5 lbs) def. Travis Lutter (186 lbs) via unanimous decision after 3 rounds.
- Matt Lindland (185.5 lbs) def. Joe Doerksen (185.5 lbs) via unanimous decision after 3 rounds.
Televised Bouts:
- George St. Pierre (170 lbs) def. Frank Trigg (170 lbs) via rear naked choke submission in round 1. St. Pierre wants a rematch with UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes.
- Diego Sanchez (170.5 lbs) def. Brian Gassaway (170 lbs) via tapout from strikes.
- Randy Couture (206 lbs) def. Mike Van Arsdale (203 lbs) via choke in round 3.
- Tim Sylvia (264 lbs) def. Tra Telligman (229 lbs) via KO in round 1. Sylvia knocked Telligman out with a left high kick to the head.
- Light Heavyweight Championship Bout: Chuck Liddell (204 lbs) def. Jeremy Horn (203 lbs) via TKO in round 4. After being knocked down, Horn told referee John McCarthy that he couldn't see and McCarthy stopped the bout. In the post fight interview, Joe Rogan asked about Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Liddelll said he would like to fight Rampage.

I was just trying to access this on Sherdog but there server is pretty busy at the moment and everything is lagging. anyway, I guess the James Iving fight was pretty good. the guy knocked out Martin with a flying knee and he was taken out on a stretcher. they're already saying KO of the year for that fight! too bad the video won't be out until like January. Its sounding more and more like Rampage is coming to the UFC. I read elsewhere that he's even gone down to Brazil and trained with the famous Chute Box Academy. I think Liddell might beat the Rampage though if they fought now considering they're at different points in their careers. Once Rampage gets his skills back together then he should be back to where he once was. Of course training with Chute Box is gonna help him big time.

Here's one of my favorite matches with Rampage. Doing one of his trademark slams knocking the guy out cold: He's also a pretty funny guy. If he wasn't a professional fighter for a living he'd probably be doing standup comedy. I finally got around to watching the post-fight interview w/ Chuck and he said he didn't really care who he fights next. He said Wanderlei Silva would be nice but he knows Wandy wouldn't take the fight. Surprisingly I agree, I'm not much of a Liddell fan but if these two ever fought I'd want him to win so badly.

thats a pretty intense knock out. I think I know where you got it. www.boxingscene.com ? Yeah. Chuck is one of my favorite fighters because of the interview you saw. He'll fight anyone at anytime and put his #1 contender shot on the line on any guy. He did that against a fighter but I cant remember his name. He gave him the meanest left kick Ive ever seen.

Yeah that was bobalu or something like that. Chuck is awesome. I like Randy too. He is pretty good for his age.

UFC 52 came out today. actually today was a great day for MMA videos. I only bought 2 but there was about 4 or so that i wanted. Pride has Legacy vol. 2 (which has shows 6-9 & 11) also, Body Blow came out and Final Conflict 2004 are out. but i bought Cold Fury 1 instead along with UFC 53. i gotta make it up to Best Buy hopefully tomorrow so i can buy the other ones this week. I really want that Legacy set since it includes Sakuraba beating Royler Gracie with a wicked kimura armbar.
