I will put up every weeks football games. Let's use these 3 for example.....
Kansas City at Denver
New England at Pittsburgh
N.Y Giants at San Diego.
Lets say Denver, Pittsburgh and the N.Y Giants win but you predicted that Kansas City, Pittsburgh, and San Diego would win. Your record will be 1-2. If a team were to tie, you would get 1 for the tie unless you predicted it would end in a tie. Then you get a W. But if you predict a tie and it doesn't end that way you get an L. Its as simple as that.
As of the 2009 season, all participants must place their predictions for every week. No more late joining unless you agree to have all losses for the weeks you missed!
At the end of the season, the top players with the best records, depending on how many people participate, will go to the playoffs, just like the NFL. The lowest winning percentage to make the playoffs in NFL history is .438, anyone with a record below .438 will be eliminated from the playoffs. Our records will reset and we'll start at 0-0-0 going into the playoffs. Best playoff record at the end of the Super Bowl wins. The winner will be crowned the H.M.F.C Super Bowl Champion!! If you have the best seasonal record, you will be The Conference Super Bowl Champion. If you are ranked 2nd or lower and win the Super Bowl, you will be The Wild Card Champion, depending on how many players.
Here is an outlook of how the rankings will go at the end of the season, depending on the players.
2 Participants: 1 Conference Champion. 1 Wild Card Contender
3 Participants: 1 Conference Champion. 2 Wild Card Contenders
4 Participants: 1 Conference Champion. 3 Wild Card Contenders
5 Participants: 1 Conference Champion. 4 Wild Card Contenders
6 Participants: 1 Conference Champion. 5 Wild Card Contenders
7 Participants: 1 Conference Champion. 6 Wild Card Contenders
8 Participants: 1 Conference Champion. 7 Wild Card Contenders
In the event of a dead set tie at the end of the regular season, the one with the most Weekly MVP awards will be crowned the conference champion going into the playoffs. If the number of weekly MVP awards is also tied, only the lone weekly MVP awards will be counted. If those are tied, as well, the one with the best combined record in Weekly MVP awards will crown the conference winner.
In the event of a tie at the end of the postseason, the one with the better record during regular season is the champion.
There is no limit to the amount of participants. If we ever exceed 8 participants, I will extend the chart.
Thank you for your interest and have a great time.
